What's that? A bear. WHERE!?

We went to the Smoky Mountains in October. (yes, I know I am behind!) While hiking a trail to a waterfall, every hiker or the at least one from every group passing us, coming back from the waterfall kept wispering their exciting news..."There is a bear up ahead!" This bear was 20 or so feet from the trail. And people were standing about 10 feet away from him!

You can see him behind Josh & Isaiah. He was much, much closer...but I didn't want them to get too close for the picture. So we waited til he went further down the mountain before we took this.

Alive...

I am still here. Life is always busy. Isaiah is always on the move...and it is hard to take the precious time I have when Isaiah is asleep or Daddy is home to blog. I know there are several of you who miss seeing little man grow up. I try to make it here...I really do. But - I will try to get something in at least once a week. Nothing like before...but at least you can catch a glimpse into our lives again. God bless you all! Most of these are old...like first of October old. But we will get caught up...

Bath time

Isaiah graduated from his little froggy baby bath tub.

But the sink didn't work out so well. He was EVERYWHERE.

But I thought it would be easier than bending over the tub on my knees.

But we thought we would try it out! Daddy blew bubbles for Isaiah...He was fascinated my the running water...

he kept trying to pinch it with his little fingers. =o)

Two front teeth...

Isaiah's two bottom teeth have been coming in this week & last.

He bruised his bottom lip when he was biting his lip because

of the pain from his teeth cutting through his gums.

Excuse the cheese all over his face, it was the only way I could keep

him still to get the picture. He loves to eat!

Getting Organized

I was trying to get my office organized.

My scrapbook stuff has been sitting on a card table

that was set up in my office just after Isaiah was born.

So after 9 months of a card table in the way of everything

& knowing Isaiah would be crawling soon,

I asked my dad to help me create some organization stuff.

I told him I wanted to put all my "trinkets" &

"embellishments" into baby food jars.

So we came up with this. I LOVE it & it is high enough up the wall &

also behind a door so that little hands won't be so tempted to touch it.

Out of sight - out of mind...hopefully.

(I want to spray paint all of the lids silver...but not a top priority right now.)

It is just like the tag that would be attached to a shirt. I love it!

Haven't had a page or idea as to where to put it yet.
So for now - it is in one of my jars.

Crawl Softly & Carry A Big Stick...

Grandpa made Isaiah his first walking stick.

It will be a little while til he is able to use it - but it is so neat!
